The Hayward Waterbowl feature is now available in the Omnilogic.Currently it available for download and installation if needed, but not in Over-the-air updating at this time. The updates between 4.4.1 and 4.7.0 are mostly related to control new product features including Fire bowls and flickering effects of the lights. Release 4.7.0 was released November 2022. An upgrade is required to continue to have access to over the air (OTA) firmware upgrades. The Release Notes for 4.8.0 say - Cloud changes for reliability that require all R4.0.0 users and above to upgrade to R4.8.0 before June 15, 2023. Release 4.8.0 was released February 2023. A 512MB drive worked for one member while a 32GB drive failed. You need to copy the two firmware files to a USB drive (at the root level), remove the front panel on the Omni to expose the USB (they should have really mounted this port on the panel in an accessible location!), plug in the USB, then follow the instructions to install each file. The instructions for installing are in the release notes. Applying just one or the other may cause issues. You need to apply both firmware updates for everything to work right. The MSP is for the main display on the Omni, and the MPP is for the main board in the Omni. When you get the new firmware (at /firmware), the first two items in the list are firmware upgrades for the MSP and the MPP. If you download in Internet Explorer, once your download is complete, please remove the ".TXT" extension from the file on the USB device. It is best if you download the firmware in Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers.In order to install firmware, installation files must be on the root directory of the USB drive.A search may find a hayward-pool.ca website page that does not have the latest firmware.Īlso note at the bottom of the Firmwware section it says: The latest firmware can be found at the Hayward OmniLogic product page, Support tab, then scroll down to Omni Firmware. When doing a search for the latest Hayward OmniLogic firmware you may find some pages that have links to firmware that is not the latest. The auto update feature will update MSP, MPP, and all smart components to the latest versions. When a new version comes out, you will get an alarm and you can then go to the panel and download and install it. Once you are at v4.0.0,, updates can be done over the air (wirelessly). The easiest way is to ensure that your MSP is at v4.0.0 or higher. If the available version is higher, then you should upgrade. You can check your current version by going into Config -> System Info. With Releasse 4.7.0 the MSP (Main System Processor) update is unified for OmniLogic, OmniPL and OmniHub.
